Encoding sessions may be managed through the SOAP API provided, implemented with SOAP::Lite

Large files exchange

Files maybe sent and requested to the server through standard HTTP requests, the server is optimized to work with very large files (>500Mb).

Web GUI

A web interface to monitor ffencoderd usage.

HTTP streaming

Multimedia resources may be streamed through the server with HTTP streaming.

Multithreaded encoding daemon

Multithreaded encoding daemon, can run multiple encoding sessions at once and store data into the repository

Multimedia repository

Encoded files are indexed and stored in a repository that may be accessed through the HTTP server.

Profiles driven

Different encoding session profiles may be setted through an XML driven profile system.

Audit usage

Log all jobs done by the server.
